Really nice track! I heavily recommend you lower the volume overall because it's clipping a lot. If you want a track that hits hard while remaining under the 0dB threshold, I'd recommend mastering it, cuz it's a shame that such a nice track is being distorted so much!

EDIT: compressor, limiter and saturation will do :)

strgzr responds:

thank you!! ill take it into consideration; ive never really bothered mastering because i'm completely clueless onto how but i'll see what i can do aha

I already told you it kicks ass, but this song is genuinely gonna be a serious contender in the contest, good luck!

Arponax responds:

Well see. Lets hope that future songs will be even better :D

It slaps a lot, idk why everybody is sleeping on this entry. Dynamic, multiphase and harmonically complex. I find it kinda lacking in the mix since most of the Instruments drown each other, probably due to most of them feeling mono. Some instruments are clipping and other sound like they've been heavily compressed, so they lack some crispiness (especially drums and bass) but I don't know if that's a problem regarding the samples themselves. The composition is immaculate and the choice of instruments is damn near perfect. Good job.

Synfang responds:

While I can't say I noticed clipping, I will admit the compression was too strong on a few elements, notably in the low end; that much was entirely my fault on the bass, but the drums, I don't think I did anything to cause that.
Regarding composition and instrument choice, NGL, a lot of research went into my approach on that. My choices of key and tempo were based on the same 18th century logic (see: the writings of Johann Mattheson) that've played into many of my musical decisions in the last few years, but in more recent times I've started to study the instrumentation and chord progressions of film scores a little more closely in order to get closer to the feelings I want my pieces to have, with this being the first release of mine that utilized this studying.
In any case, seriously, thank you for the compliment!

Mesmerizing, great composition! I ought to expand my VST library eventually lol

Everratic responds:

Thank you!

Dayuuum, nice job! the loop is flawless too.

Arponax responds:

Has to be...good boss theme needs to loop after all :D

I don't know if it is intentional, but the kick is clipping a tad, as for the rest it's a nice beat

ShabBeats responds:

oh my gosh im sorry! Not intentional, prolly made it too loud. I'll fix it up later ty!!!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful track my man, good luck with the contest!

Hyenaedon responds:

Thanks! Glad you dig it

I've just checked out what Goldbox is and it gave me an aneurism at first glance lol

Anyway, this sounds amazing :)

PrimeLimeJustDied responds:

Thanks!

Simultaneously relaxing and complex. The lick that starts at 2:35 got me, it's out of left field but in a good way lol. Masterful and smooth composition, even with those spicy chords thrown in there

zenkusaa responds:

Thank you!

Cute little track, i like the plucky-yet-round lead and the pads underneath. Only advice is to make the track a bit louder cuz it's pretty quiet right now, unless you haven't mastered it yet (I'm way too lazy to do that too most of the time lmao)

SimplyDew responds:

I didn't master it lol but I'm glad you like it!

I have a PC, much to everybody's demise.

I'm pretty versatile in any genre, but my DNA is mostly made out of wonky weird stuff with naughty time signatures ;)
