Wow, really nice! Good luck in the contest
PS: insane you didn't get through with a song like this, I was rooting for you to win the bracket but the judges had other ideas RIP

Thx 🙏. Good luck you too.
Edit: haha thx i'm glad you like this track because I like it as well. I don't mind loosing: i already have fl producer edition, and i'm currently unemployed and jobs don't find themselves XD. I mainly use this contest to motivate me to produce more quickly. I'll probably polish this track some day, add lyrics etc
It's absolutely and unapologetically nasty
Really well executed DnB and orchestral crossover. The sound banks are really nice sounding (name please?), and the composition itself is also pretty solid, great use of push-n-pull tension and pretty memorable motif, while the drums were mixed really well (doesn't sound like the Amen break, is it a selfmade groove?).
I'll say, some chords in the orchestral intro are ambiguous in a pretty distracting way, they sound pretty neutral but the resolutions don't seem to really justify them, I wished you used more stable harmonies there. The marching snare doesn't feel like it belongs with the rest of the ensemble, it sounds as if it was added later on because it doesn't blend in well. Finally, as Spadezer said, kick is alright, but it's way too aggressive lol (in the first buildup it also seems to be causing really nasty artifacts that sound like white noise, idk if that's intentional)
Overall tho solid track, best of luck 🤞
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback and the parts you loved! I always make my own grooves when going DnB, and the name of all my orchestra is from the Eastwest Composer cloud, which also gives access to Hollywood strings and brass, where I got most of my ensemble from
Wooo, really nice tracks you posted here!
Hey, this is pretty good ambient! Nicely done
Thank you :D!
Pretty nice, I like it
Thanks. I appreciate it!
That's actually pretty cool. Only thing holding this back is the muddiness of the mix (it's so much I can't even hear the kick!) and some audible clipping sometimes. Tidy it up and it's gonna be a wonky banger, love stuff like this held together by the sheer funkiness of the rhythm, jammed out on my drums on it lol
Okay damn, this is really solid lol
The chorus is on another level, it caught me by surprise pleasantly. Definitely sounds like something I would listen till the end if it ever popped on my car's radio, really good job 👍
yoooooo glad to hear that man! honestly the chorus is my fav part too lmao. thanks for stopping by!
cheers!
Really nice, I like the vagueness of the time signature at the start and the wacky chords. Followed :)
This was about to be my favourite entry but those drums are BEGGING to be louder 😭 they are so so quiet compared to the rest of the mix
I have a PC, much to everybody's demise.

Started on Dreams, now on Ableton.

I'm pretty versatile in any genre, but my DNA is mostly made out of wonky weird stuff with naughty time signatures ;)
