I like how the song progression kinda reflects scrolling down the image you chose as you discover how many layers it has: sky, vegetation, characters and shadowy insects. Absolutely perfect fit, it would fit as OST for a short film with no problem at all. You can tell 5 minutes were necessary to get the point through, cuz you don't get bored by the length at all. Great entry and good luck 👍

Really solid submission. I was hoping the chords would keep getting more cacophonic towards the middle and it didn't disappoint, cool percussive climax towards the end. I like how you emphasize the progression at 1:08, probably my favourite part. Choir and swells on point everytime. Only nitpick is that the horns/saws in the last minute are really aggressive and don't mix really well with the rest of the orchestra, but I understand it in a cinematic context. Absolutely nails the vibe, like 100%, it's exactly what I would've gone for. Great work and good luck! 👍

Hey man! Thanks for the review! Appreciate the support :)

I see this image is a popular pick, it works well in this context. I heard you used the pad from the first NGMT entry lol

Really good chords as always, love your outros 👍

Never heard such a punchy and dubstep-py jazz drum set before, but I quite like it. Well composed song, really good mixing, the random crescendo in the middle is a nice switch up, the solos are solid af, and it reminds me a lot of "Take Five" for... well the reason is obvious lol

I will say though that the key changes sound pretty random at times without a clear lead from the melody, but that's the only thing really. Well done

This is really good, fits the image really well... but it's extremely extremely quiet! If you've still got time, master it, because it's a glaring issue 👍

LANPartyAnimal responds:

Thanks for the input. I noticed the waveforms were pretty small but it sounded loud enough in my headphones already. When I went to increase the gain, the default suggestion was "+20db" lmao. I just re-uploaded it with a +10db version, hopefully that should be better.

Yes. Just yes.

PS: also, what's the snare from?

Irish-Soul responds:

I think I used 2 different snares. One of them is from True Strike by ProjectSAM, and the other is from Abbey Road One: Orchestral Foundations by Spitfire Audio.

Hope this helps!

Well done. But just so you know, the minimum track length to be eligible for participation is 3 minutes, you are 5 seconds shy of that. I guess you could make the start slower (so that it also fits more with the first transition) to fit that in, but otherwise good song

WAVESS responds:

They said they would accept tracks that are 15 seconds too short and too long + I'm already in the approved entries list ;) TYYYY THOOO <3

I can definitely envision this for a beach scene in any indie cartoon, pretty spot on. Also, I feel you about the setup lol

Una corda?
